QA Engineer

TechTarget is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer with 2-4 years testing experience. As part of the QA group you must be a team player who can succeed in our flexible, fast-paced environment. Activities include test planning, test execution, release management, and improving development/testing processes. Must be self sufficient and work independently. Must be able to react quickly and handle change.

Essential Job Functions:

• Analyze business and project requirements and develop appropriate test scenarios;
• Test and release features/products in support of our web sites and products; and,
• Work as part of a team with project managers, developers and end users

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

• 2-4 years experience in software testing;
• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent;
• Hands-on experience writing test cases, plans, procedures;
• Logging and following up on defects and enhancements in the issue tracking system;
• Work experience testing web-based products;
• Experience writing automated tests with JUnit and HttpUnit a plus;
• Experience performing SQL or queries to extract data from databases for verification and validation;
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills;
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team oriented environment;
• Demonstrated ability to meet commitments; and,
• Must be able to learn quickly and apply to task at hand
