Database Developer

TechTarget is seeking a highly motivated Database Developer to be a part of a team responsible for the design, development and implementation of various database related initiatives used to support the business’s development and reporting needs across the enterprise. This is an excellent opportunity for a hard-working and motivated individual to enter a fast paced, dynamic environment and gain experience with the various uses and forms of data.

Essential Job Functions:

• Data-modeling, database design, query/stored procedure creation and optimization skills;
• Data extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) process maintenance and creation;
• Data mart and data warehouse support; and,
• Additional duties include, assisting developers in diagnosing and resolving database-related application problems and conducting data migration and data cleansing activities

Knowledge, skills and abilities required:

• Experience or coursework in database architecture, design and data modeling in OLTP and data warehouse environments;
• 1+ years experience writing SQL and PL/SQL;
• Experience with Oracle Databases;
• Attention to detail and persistence in troubleshooting;
• Commitment to team deadlines and goals;
• Candidate must be able to work independently and within a team environment;
• Working knowledge of all phases of the development lifecycle;
• Experience with Oracle 10g, Lunix/UNIX or MySQL is a plus; and,
• Java development experience is a plus
